Heaven is My Reality Now

The Kingdom’s reality is my reality.

Last week as I was spending time with the Lord, this came into my heart. I kept repeating the statement out loud.

Yet, as I got introspective (which is a wasteful exercise), I felt overwhelmed because I “knew” areas that don’t manifest the Kingdom. Areas where I’ve limited myself to this world’s principals.

But I’m realizing that this truth is my reality already. I just need to embrace it.

I reminded myself to not focus on areas where I’ve failed to live in the Kingdom’s reality. Instead, I realized the Holy Spirit placed this statement in my heart because I’m walking there already. No, I’m not manifesting this reality fully, but I’m making progress. It’s a journey.

My hope and example? Jesus when he walked the earth as fully man. He didn’t see through the earth’s reality and its limitations, but through the Kingdom’s. Just read the Gospels to see his perspective on issues:

  • Sickness? Doesn’t exist in the Kingdom. So he healed all that were sick and oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).
  • Lack? The Kingdom has all resources. So he multiples the loaves and fish (Matthew 15, Luke 9, John 6).
  • Death? He is life, so he resurrects Lazarus (John 11) and Jairus’s daughter (Matthew 9:18-26; Mark 5:21-43).

Through Jesus, we live in the Kingdom now.

“The kingdom is not discovered in one place or another, for the kingdom realm of God is already expanding within some of you.” (Luke 17:21 TPT).

Even though we are physically in the earth, spiritually, we are in Heaven. How? Because we have a new nature from the Kingdom.

“And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.” (Romans 8:10 TPT)

And we have the counsel of the Holy Spirit who teaches us the Kingdom. God has equipped us to dwell in his kingdom that transcend this world’s reality.

What impact does this have on your life?

Think of one issue you’re praying about.

Think what would happen if you were suddenly transported to Heaven. What would that issue look like there?

Now, imagine God transports you back to earth, but reminds you that the problem still resembles what it did in Heaven.

Go ahead and speak that result to your issue. See, it’s resolved! Keep imagining this result. Keep speaking Heaven’s reality to the issue. Keep thanking God it’s resolved.

That’s the Kingdom’s reality becoming your reality. That’s where you actually live.

What about you? What have you discovered about God’s Kingdom in you? Please share in Comments below. Thank you.
